When it comes to swimming pools in your rental or strata property, there are a few regulations and government health guidelines that need to be adhered to than if it was your home swimming pool. This means the responsibility to maintain and care for your swimming pool now also comes with a greater responsibility, and an ever-changing set of rules to comply to.

Pool care for residential rental properties

Before entering into a new lease agreement in WA, the pool must be maintained and handed over in a a safe and usable condition. Under state law you are also required to maintain and repair the premises in a timely manner. Under the same law, the tenant is also required to maintain the pool to a clean condition and ensure it is properly treated, but this isn’t always the case.

We follow all guidelines as outlined in the Code of Practice for the Design, Construction, Operation, Management of Aquatic Facilities.
